Is your metal gate starting to rust? There's a simple, long-lasting solution that doesn't require dismantling it.
Why do gates rust?
Steel and wrought iron are susceptible to oxidation as soon as they are exposed to moisture. An unprotected gate can deteriorate in just a few years, especially in coastal or humid areas.
The solution: cold galvanization
Cold galvanization involves applying a paint with a very high zinc content directly onto the metal. The zinc acts as a sacrificial barrier: it corrodes instead of the steel. GALVACYL® can be applied with a brush or spray gun, and is made in France.
Repair steps
1. Brush off rust with a wire brush
2. Degrease the surface
3. Apply GALVACYL® in one or two coats
4. Allow to dry for 15 to 30 minutes
Your gate is protected for years, without dismantling, welding, or professional help.
