Cold galvanizing vs hot-dip galvanizing: what are the differences?

Galvanisation à froid vs galvanisation à chaud : quelles différences ?

Galvanization is the best rust protection for metals. But there are two very different types.

Hot-dip galvanization

Hot-dip galvanization involves immersing the part in a bath of molten zinc at 450°C. Excellent protection, but with significant constraints:

- The part must be disassembled and transported
- The process is costly (150 to 400€ depending on size)
- Impossible on structures already in place
- Heat can deform certain parts

Cold galvanization with GALVACYL®

GALVACYL® is a zinc-based paint that is applied directly to the metal in place, with a brush or low-pressure spray gun:

- No disassembly required
- Application in 15 to 30 minutes
- Reduced cost: a few tens of euros
- Made in France
- Durable protection against corrosion

When to choose cold galvanization?

- Repairs to existing structures (gates, railings, frameworks)
- Areas inaccessible after assembly
- Small surfaces or touch-ups
- Limited budget

GALVACYL® is the ideal solution for all your anticorrosion maintenance work.
